Measuring Dog Collars for Small, Medium, and Large Dogs
How to properly fit The Ultimate Dog Collar
Please measure carefully and hook your leash on only one of the three loose rings at a time.
All dogs are different and vary in their size, just as people vary in size and shape. For a proper fit, measure your dog’s neck with a cloth seamstress’s tape measure.
- Measure your dog’s neck according to the red #1 circle in the silhouette image. That’s the size you want!
If that measurement is not exactly the same size as an available Ultimate Dog Collar, order one size down. Example: if your dog’s neck according to the red #1 circle measures 21 inches, order the 20-inch UDC.
As a back-up and safety precaution, we recommend taking a second measurement where the #2 green circle is located in the silhouette. If this second measurement is within 2 inches of the red #1 circle measurement, you have the perfect size. Example: if your #1 red circle measurement is 20 inches, and #2 green circle is 18 inches, then order the 20-inch UDC.
If by chance (very unusual) your #2 green circle measurement is MORE than 2 inches bigger than the #1 red circle measurement, order the next size up. For example, if #1 red circle measurement is 20 inches, and #2 green circle measurement is more than 22 inches, order a 22-inch UDC, not a 20-inch.
